Urban Displacement: From New York to the Arab Uprisings

  • The Graduate Center, Room 4102 365 5th Avenue New York, NY, 10016 United States (map)

Addressing concerns of sociospatial injustice, CUNY faculty and students present two new publications: Zoned Out! Race, Displacement, and City Planning in New York City, edited by Tom Angotti and Sylvia Morse, and Beyond the Square: Urbanism and the Arab Uprisings, edited by Deen Sharp and Claire Panetta.

Join us for a discussion over questions of spatial contestation and urban displacement, moderated by Sam Stein, a contributor to Zoned Out!

This event is sponsored by the Earth and Environmental Sciences Program and the Center for Place, Culture and Politics, Graduate Center, CUNY.
